The challenge

A steep sandy slope required stabilisation to help retain the surrounding sand and reduce the effects of erosion. The installation also needed to work with the existing coastal landscape and vegetation.

What we supplied

We supplied our Heavy Duty Sandbags, which were installed in overlapping courses across the face of the slope to create a stable retaining structure. The flexible nature of the sandbags allowed the installation to follow the contours of the existing slope while providing substantial support to the sandy terrain.

The result

The completed sandbag structure provided a practical solution for retaining the slope and helping control erosion. The installation creates a broad, reinforced face across the vulnerable section of the slope while remaining suitable for integration with the surrounding landscape.
