Containment & Water Management

Temporary containment bunds and lined basins for runoff control during construction

Read the case study
No breaches | Runoff successfully contained during construction Reusable | Bags recovered and redeployed across projects

Construction sites often require temporary containment to control runoff and protect surrounding areas during active work.

On this project, geotextile sandbags were used to form perimeter bunds and support temporary lined basins around sensitive areas and site infrastructure. The bags conform to uneven ground and create an immediate containment barrier without the need for concrete or permanent earthworks.

Once the construction phase was complete, the sandbags were removed intact and redeployed on the next site, reducing both material waste and installation costs.

Containment & Water Management — common questions

What buyers ask before specifying for this kind of work

As a working figure, roughly 25 to 30 filled bags per metre for a barrier one metre high, laid in a pyramid with overlapping courses. A tube sandbag run replaces a large part of that count — one tube covers the length that would otherwise take several stacked bags.
