The challenge
Cut slopes and exposed embankments on development sites are highly vulnerable to erosion during construction. Rainfall can quickly wash soil from freshly excavated areas before permanent drainage or landscaping is installed.
What we supplied
Geotextile sandbags were placed along the base and contour of the slopes to create temporary bunds that stabilise loose soil and reduce runoff velocity. The permeable fabric allows water to drain while preventing soil loss.
The result
The system remained stable through multiple rainy periods, protecting the site until permanent slope stabilisation and landscaping works could be completed.
